Viejas Enterprise Microgrid – Viejas Casino & Resort

Drake Integrations is providing microgrid commissioning for the Viejas Enterprise Microgrid, developed by Indian Energy on the lands of the Viejas Band of Kumeyaay Indians in Alpine, California. This project is in progress.

According to Indian Energy and the U.S. Department of Energy, the microgrid combines a 15 MWdc carport solar array with 70 MWh of non-lithium long-duration energy storage (10 MWh vanadium flow battery and 60 MWh aqueous zinc battery). It serves the Viejas Band's gaming, hospitality and retail operations on a 12 kV microgrid.
