The United States Marine Corps (USMC) through Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) requested San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) to provide and construct Energy Conservation Projects for various buildings at Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton, CA. SDG&E is a regulated subsidiary of Sempra Energy, based in San Diego, CA. Project consisted of retro-commissioning (RCx) of the EMS/DDC points & network connectivity from IHUB / Unity Control Room (Central Processing) to 71 buildings (over 1.8 Million SF) in Areas 11, 13, 14, 20, 21, 22 & 31. Focus included verification that building energy related systems are installed, calibrated, and operating to meet the original design intent and optimize energy savings. DDC controls systems installed and evaluated included Siemens, Circon, Honeywell, Distech, Johnson Controls, Trane, TAC, and Quark.
